Abstract

This study examined the impact of credit risk strategies and revenue growth of selected shipping companies in Nigeria from 2012–2022. Using Revenue Growth (Proxied by Net Profits of Selected Shipping Companies) as the dependent variable, the tool used for model estimation and analysis is the Ordinary Least Squares regression technique. From the results of the study, non-performing loans impacted negatively and significantly on revenue growth while revenue to assets ratio had a positive and significant impact on the revenue growth. The study thus recommends, in addition to other policy suggestions, that stakeholders ought to push for the creation and improvement of regulatory frameworks that offer standards for efficient credit risk management in the maritime industry.
