Fossil fuel which has served as an alternate source of energy for man, poses great risk to humans and the environment. Owing to this, there is increased efforts in the search for clean alternative sources. Using high resolution aeromagnetic data, this study investigated the feasibility of Esie and its environs as a reservoir of a clean alternative source of energy. By processing the Total Magnetic Intensity (TMI) map, the residual magnetic map, which was divided into 50 overlapping blocks was generated and subjected to spectral analysis. Results show a depth to top (Zt) of the magnetic source that range from 0.21 km to 0.34 km at an average value of 0.275 km, depth to centroid (Zo) that range from 2.0 km to 9.4 km at an average value of 5.93 km, and depth to basement (Zb) of the magnetic source which range from 4 km to 18.4 km with an average value of 10.27 km. The results revealed that the area has an indicative active geothermal system which is potentially linked to reported faults in the area.
